Presenting research at the Digital Humanities Showcase and SAVIR Annual Meeting
We would like to once again recognize Aayush Chitransh for an outstanding series of research presentations this past week.
Last Friday, Aayush presented a collaborative project alongside Alejandro Giménez Santana and Gaspard Tissandier from Rutgers University School of Criminal Justice and the Newark Public Safety Collaborative at the 3rd Digital Humanities Showcase. The presentation highlighted interdisciplinary work at the intersection of public safety, data analysis, and digital humanities, and Aayush did an excellent job communicating complex ideas to a broad audience.
Earlier in the week, Aayush also presented with me at the Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research Annual Meeting in Providence, Rhode Idland. There, we shared our research applying causal inference methods to better understand the impacts of gun violence in New Jersey and to support evidence-based public health research.
Experiences like these are invaluable for developing the ability to communicate scientific research across disciplines and audiences. Aayush consistently embraces these opportunities with enthusiasm, professionalism, and intellectual curiosity, and we are excited to see his continued growth as a researcher and communicator.
