Celebrating the 2026 NJIT Graduates!!!

Last week was filled with commencement celebrations and ceremonies leading into Memorial Day weekend, marking an exciting milestone for many students across NJIT. At the PID Lab, we are proud to celebrate a remarkable group of graduates who have spent a significant amount of time growing as researchers, engineers, designers, and future leaders. They have contributed to projects spanning accessibility, human-centered computing, occupational safety, engineering, and emerging technologies. Beyond their academic accomplishments, they have demonstrated creativity, resilience, collaboration, and a commitment to building technologies and systems that positively impact people’s lives.

We would like to extend a special congratulations to Natalia Peña, whose inspiring journey was recently featured in an NJIT article highlighting her human-centered work, leadership, and dedication to accessibility and inclusion. Natalia’s work exploring accessible exercise technologies for individuals with visual impairments reflects the kind of thoughtful, impactful innovation we strive to support at the PID Lab. Natalia has been working with the PID Lab for the past year and a half, and it has been wonderful to watch her grow as both a researcher and leader. We are incredibly proud of all that she has accomplished and look forward to seeing the impact she will continue to make in the future.
